Always trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting every time.  A long wick burns too hot and will create soot and burn your candle too quickly.

Let the melted wax reach the edges of the container on your first burn.  Burn your candle for up to 3-4 hours.  This helps the candle burn evenly.

Never burn your candle near a draft or leave it unattended or within reach of small children, curtains, or pets.

If the flame is too high or dancing, blow out the candle, trim the wick, and relight.
